How To Turn-Off Visibility of Created Pages’ Links in the Sidebar?

From what I understand, supposing I create 10 pages using the ‘Write Page’ function, the links for all 10 pages will be listed together under one category.
What I’m trying to do is to not list all the links. Supposing I want to list only the first 5 pages that I’ve created, how do I do this?
