how to turn off comments on a page

    ok, i’ve found the answer to my own question.

    pages>quick edit>uncheck “allow comments”>update

    You shouldn’t need to edit the PHP files, unless I’m misunderstanding what you’d like to do. You can instead go to Dashboard > Pages > All Pages, Quick Edit your pages, and uncheck the box labeled “Allow Comments”. I’m not aware of an easy way to bulk-edit the pages, unfortunately, but unless you have an extremely large amount of pages, this shouldn’t take too long.
