• Hi. I have had a WordPress site for many years but I am now giving up the hosting. I have downloaded the database from the site, but I can’t find a way to make that database useful.
What I’d like to do is make an HTML site from the WordPress site so that at least I can keep all the text and browse the pages on my computer when I want to. Or a pdf file which would include the photos.
I am not really a techie so does anyone know if there is a simple way of doing what I want please?

  • Hi @lottsakisses

Hope you are well. You could use a plugin such as Simply Static. Here is a short video tutorial to help. Read more about it in the Description.

You can also search for something like PDFmyURL on the internet if you wanted to go that route.

    Good luck

PDFmyURL looks good, a test page worked fine. I may buy that and use it.
I can’ install SimplyStatic as it says my PHP needs updating, but it’s been updated so can’t go down that route. Thanks for the help though.

You are welcome! You can check on the Dashboard of your host to see if you can change your PHP to the latest version 8.1

    Keep well
