How to translate everything?

If you are using the Default theme (Kubrick) there are a lot of strings that are hard coded in the templates ??
You have two options: to translate those lines manually in your theme’s templates – or to wait until (hopefully) a new release of WP (1.5.1?) will have the themes translated, too.

Alternatively you can try to install other themes; some of theme are more non-English-friendly ?? = work well with the .mo file.

Any suggestions of such themes?

question for this topic… I installed a dutch translation, but it mostly translates the admin interface. I want to translate the whole blog into my home language. for example if you check https://www.el-conejito.nl/weblog you can see a test post with a comment. managed to translate that part, but if you click on “slechts 1 reactie” you see a comment. that part is still in english.

Does anyone know in what file I can translate those parts?

1. There is something wrong with your translation of the calendar, it gives very long day names and the whole calendar is distorted.
2. If yhose strings are not marked for gettext they wont be translated. You can check the comments.php template to either tranlate them manually or to see whether they are marked to be translated like explained here

yeah I noticed, I changed the translation file and theme. This combo works better (more complete translation). But there are still words that could be translated. Guess it needs to be done the hard way. Thanks for the answer, will check out the url.
