How to translate error strings from Stripe

    Hello,

    I was able to translate most of the strings in EDD to Hungarian using POEdit. The only thing I was unable to translate were error starings coming from the Stripe API.

    (I couldn’t find the exact strings in EDD’s source code, so I guess these were coming from Stripe)

    Examples:
    “Your card number is incomplete.”
    “Your card’s expiration date is incomplete.”
    “Your card’s security code is incomplete.”

    What’s interesting is that I found similar strings in the .pot file, like:
    “The card number is incomplete.”
    “The card’s expiration date is incomplete.”
    “The card’s security code is incomplete.”

    Can it be possible that Stripe has changed these strings from “The …” to “Your …” at their end and that’s why they don’t translate now?

    Hey @arachnoidea

    The strings that you can see in the .pot file now are used for the live validation of the field, before the Checkout submits. Those should appear translated. There is a bug where when you do an actual submission of the Checkout, those returned errors do not get localized so they are not translated.

    We have a fix for that coming so please wait for the next release and then your translations of “The card…” strings will be used instead.
