How to transfer from Google site to WordPress?

I recently took over a non profit’s Google site. I have little experience with Google sites, but after poking around for less than 10 minutes, I realized we needed to move to WordPress for a better design and access to customization.

The domain is hosted through Google through GoDaddy. We’ve paid through the year, otherwise I’d change hosts.

How do I cut the Google site loose and transfer to WordPress?
