    Hello,

I would like to categorize some pages and use custom properties for this. In the documentation here https://plausible.io/docs/custom-props/for-pageviews it is recommended to either change the Plausible Snippet or to choose the combination of script.manual.pageview-props.js as an alternative.

How can I customize the snippet with the plugin?

I already use the Enhanced measurements “404 error pages”, “Outbound links” and “Authors and categories” but the snippet has only changed to plausible.outbound-links.pageview-props.js

I would be very grateful for a few tips.

    Best regards
    Manuel

thanks for reaching out Manuel! we don’t have the manual script extension as an option in our plugin at this stage unfortunately so you would need to manually add a new snippet to your site by following the linked guide for now. I have now added this feature request to our feedback board so we can follow the popularity and consider adding the manual script as an option in the plugin in the future. thanks!

    Hello Marko,

    many thanks for your feedback.

I think it would make no sense to place a second snippet on the page, right? So I would have to deactivate the plugin and add the new snippet (script.manual.pageview-props.js) myself as explained in the documentation?

np! you could try to test it with a second snippet to verify how it works and in case you see double counting going on, then it’s best to deactivate the plugin until we support something like that directly in the plugin.
