    Hi,
I am using Google Analytics wordpress plug in for my wordpress multisite (sub directory) and tracking all the sites of the network with different properties of my google analytics account. For example, UA-3XXXXXXX-1 for one site and UA-3XXXXXXX-2 for another site in my multisite network to get the cumulative data of visitors of all the sites. I was just wondering if it is the right way to accomplish this purpose. Or, Is there any better alternatives.

Another question. As I am using multisite feature in sub directories (not sub domains) and I hared that Google treats sub domains as different sites, not sub directories. So, will my sites will be treated as a single site in Google search engine or seperate sites.

    Any help is appreciated.

That’s a Google Question, really. If you use different GA accounts, they sort it how they sort it.

I hared that Google treats sub domains as different sites, not sub directories.

You heard incorrect. They DO, but not unless you’re big like LiveJournal or WordPress. You’re not ??

Thanks for your reply. Question still remains. Use same GA properties or different GA properties for the sites of a multisite network? How this will make the difference?

    Looking for some expert’s opinion.

You want GOOGLE experts? Go to Google ??

The sites are separate. If you use the same GA property on all of them, GA ranks them all together. if you use separate? You get separate. That’s all.

Well you are right. But I was not looking for GOOGLE experts, I was just looking for WordPress experts who use google analytics. Anyway, I got my solution.
