How to test Postie on localhost?

    Hello,

    I would like to test the Postie Plugin on localhost. I have found a partial solution, namely I have my wordpress site on localhost and installed hMailServer as localhost POP3/IMAP e-mail server so that I don’t have to go on the real e-mail server for test purposes.

    I can now send e-mails across my localhost test accounts but I’m not able to test the “Check mail every X minutes” functionality. For some unknown reason It works only if I run the manual test.

    How do you test Postie if your website is on your localhost? Do you have a better idea than mine?
