• I installed your plugins based on a recommendation from my hosting company as I am trying to archive and retire my site. I am not quite sure I see the results I expected. I indicated a target URL cemalekin.com/syllabus and took the suggested export destination by the plugin as a subfolder on the same domain. The “export” seemed to complete and I could see the export folder with many subfolders under it.

My problem is this: When I go to cemalekin.com/syllabus I find viewing my site at the domain root. At this point, I think it is still coming from WordPress because if I rename one of the critical WordPress folders, I get a blank screen.

Is there a way to find out whether I am viewing the exported HTML file or content served by WordPress. If I enter a URL pointing to the export folder, I get a blank screen.

I would like some clarification, thank you,

    Cemal

    Hi @acekin,

Thanks for reaching out, let’s try to get this sorted for you!

As you’re just retiring the site, it may not be worth going through the docs here, unless you’re wanting to do more site archival after this:

    https://wp2static.com/docs/getting-started/

So, in this case, I’m happy to help you try and get a static copy of your site for archival.

Please reach me directly at leon@wp2static.com and will get the ball rolling.

    Cheers,

    Leon
