how to tell polylang not to change images urls?

Hi,
using the free version of Polylang with Astra theme (no visual builder)

Initial site language is italian, and I’ve setup a .com domain for english. (so i used the multi domain translation option)

Via cpanel I pointed the .com domain (let’s call it english.com) to the WP root folder, and set a redirect 301 to the .it domain (let’s call it italian.it).

Now when i open the english version all images show src english.com/wp-content/..
instead of italian.it/wp-content/

How do i tell Polylang not to touch assets urls?
