How to 'target' attachment pages?

I want to hide some parts on te ‘attachment’ pages but can’t work out where to add the custom ID/Class etc.
It’s an attachment page for a custom post but wherever I add the code it does not have an effect. Is there a post type of ‘attachment’ that needs adding to the plugin as a default?
