How to take off the comment session?

  • I would like to take off the comment session in the home page. Anyone knows how to do that?

    I`ve already tried check the box “comments” but it have not worked.

    hi gomesfg,

    just open the homepage in the wp-editor to edit it.

    then, when you scroll down, you should see a option-box called “Discussions”.

    There you can check/uncheck the option for allowing comments and trackbacks.

    If you dont see this box, you just have to check in the upper right corner of your screen, there is a button called “screen options”. If you click you can choose which option bioxes to show or hide.

    I’ve done it and nothing happened

    you can uncheck all discussions when you go to settings -> discussions..

    but it should work just with the page setting.

    when you open the page edit screen again, is the comment checkbox checked or unchecked? maybe the option doesn’t save correctly..

    did you try with all plugins disabled?

    let me know if that works out..

    the comment checkbox is unchecked and I unchecked all discussions in the settings and the comment session is still there.

    I tried with all plugins disabled and nothing. Maybe is it a problem with the theme.

    Shoot I’m the total opposite – I can’t get comments to even appear. It’s as if all the options are shut down. ?? I want comments in my blog. I even looked at all that was mentioned here and nothing.
