Hi folks, could you please confirm I understood well how this MAILCHIMP FOR WORDPRESS works ?

    > SYNCING MailChimp List with our WordPress: the BASIC Module MAILCHIMP FOR WORDPRESS does NOT do any synchronisation. To achieve that, I need to install additional Module MAILCHIMP SYNC ?

    > Neither with MAILCHIMP FOR WORDPRESS, nor with MAILCHIMP SYNC I will get a 2-WAY SYNCING (users unsubscribing from MailChimp email will be unsubscribed in my WOrdPress, and users unsubscribing within their WOrdPress account will be unsubscribed from the MailChimp List). The only way to achieve this is by setting a WEBHOOK from MAILCHIMP Account ?

    > This Module does NOT enable me to sent our MailChimp account data about ABANDONED CARTS and diverse eCOmmerce activities ? If NOT, how do I achieve this ?

Thanks in advance for your clarifications.

    Eric

    Hey Eric,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

The answer to the first 2 questions is yes. You will need the “MailChimp User Sync” add-on to sync the users and you will need to set up a 2-way webhook in order to delete/subscribe users from MailChimp/WordPress.

Please note that we are going to discontinue this plugin in its current form and release a new simpler version. The reason is that sometimes it can cause users in MailChimp to unsubscribe automatically. We do not have any specific date yet for the release but if you do decide to use this add-on then you would need to use it as-is as no support is provided for it.

For syncing E-commerce data from WooCommerce to Mailchimp, you will need to buy our premium add-on that offers this feature along with support for syncing abandoned cart data.

I hope that answers your query. Let us know if you have any further questions.
