how to synchronise sidebar with certain post details?

    so here’s what i need to do.

    the site’s for a record label.
    in the above picture, the releases run down the side with just a thumbnail of the cd cover, a title, and links to itunes and beatport downloads for the song/album.
    i want to automate this so when the client adds a release to the music section, this info is extracted and shown in the sidebar for the last 6 or so releases

    make sense?
    i’m assuming i have to do something re: custom fields but i’m not really sure, i’m a bit lost.
    any plugins or widgets that could help?
