How to switch Multisite from parked to addon with subdir install?

    Hi,

    I have 3 domain names and I recently buy 3 SSL certificates. My web host says I need to use addon domains to install the 3 SSL certs.

    Server:
    ??Dedicated server with WHM
    ??CPanel for primary domain
    ??Latest versions of everything

    Domains:
    ? Domain1.com (primary WHM domain)
    ??Domain2.com (currently parked domain)
    ??Domain3.com (currently parked domain)

    Can anyone guide the steps for best practice to make this switch from Parked Domains to Add-on Domains? My Multisite is working beautiful. I am nervous to mess this up. I hope to perform this over weekend so 3 domains do not see downtime.

    Goals:
    1. Move Parked domains to Addon domains in CPanel
    2. Change subdomain install to subdirectory install (since we have basic SSL now, we won’t use subdomains anymore–we don’t have wildcard SSL)
    3. Any recommended step-by-step guide to do this?

    Delete the parked domain and re-add as an addon and make sure they point to the /public_html/ location where WP is intalled.

    That’s it. It’s nothing to do with WP.
