• Hello,

I recently was informed that wordpress.com blogs do not allow users to use plugins or even Adsense ads. I was reading over many of the features and tools that the www.remarpro.com service offers. My main question is what do people like me do when you already have a blog up and running with wordpress.com and you would like to switch over to the platform offered at www.remarpro.com???

    Thank You

  • 1. www.remarpro.com is not a service. You download the free software and you do whatever you want with it… on your own domain.
    2. There is an Export function in your wp.COM blog, and you should know about it because you are supposed to be familiar with the tool you are using for blogging!
    3. There is also Import function in WP.

So once I save my “wordpress blog” by exporting the file to lets say my desktop, I can then download the www.remarpro.com platform and upload my blog to that?

Also, I have my blog uploaded to my domain, in the installation instructions for the .org platform I need to upload all the files and folders to my domain. What do I do with the files and folders I installed on my domain from my .com platform?

You can download NOT the www.remarpro.com “platform” (whatever that is) but the blogging software called “wordpress” AND you must install it on your own domain. Not on your desktop!

Main_Page – start reading the online Docs.

I have my blog uploaded to my domain,

No, you don’t! You have your domain pointed/redirected to your wp.COM blog. Undo it!

Ok so I undo the redirect to my blog, back a copy of my entire blog by using the Export option, and then install WordPress to my host?

Something like that… and read a lot of documentation. Before.

    Another question for you,

After I stop the redirection of my blog, would you happen to know how long it would be until I can then install WordPress and upload the new folders and files to my FTP?

According to publicly available information (read: you can google for it!!!) the effect of changing the nameservers could take 24-72 hours.

Ok, and then from there just change my name servers back to the ones provided by my web host.

I will be sure to look over the links you provided for me.
