How to submit for search engines

  • I have setup Wordpess on my hosting space.In simple words , i have blog site.I want to submit my website to search engines.
    But how i can add meta tags and title and website description which should be appear in search engines ?

  • Well, some search engine basics… you don’t really need to submit. The major search engines (google, msn, yahoo) crawl the web and find your site automatically. WordPress is friendly to them, so they will index your whole site automatically.

    The title tag is already filled in from your blog/post name for most templates. Meta tags like keywords and description are not all that effective any more, search engines usually pull snipits from the post itself and ignore metadata.

    Read some on seochat.com to get a good just of search engines, it is a great resource.

    So, in short: do nothing special, just make sure you have good content for the search engines to consume.
