How to submit changes

Hi all,

I’ve made a couple of changes recently to the core files (see my user profile for details). One is I think a bugfix (spaces in nicknames), the other I suspect a preferred response (dealing with archive pages for empty categories). Where would I submit these changes to for consideration by the powers that be? Or, at least, is there somewhere that I can submit them so that they’re easily found by others with similar needs?
