how to style the player? play button pause button etc

I guess you are talking about the video player for local videos? For YouTube, Vimeo and Dailymotion players you can specify coulors etc in your WordPress’ Media Settings.

For local videos the plugin uses the open source player videoJS. At the moment there occur some problems with it in the plugin. I recommend setting “Use CDN” in Settings -> Media -> Local Video Options.

At the moment the plugin does not ship with customization settings for the videoJS player. All you can do is turn off the videoJS CSS in the settings and create your own css style. The original style can be found here.

Is this what you are looking for? I might add enhanced customization capabilities in the future. But WordPress is adding local video capabilities to core in 3.6, so the player might change then.

Yeah, the video player for local videos ??
The bit that bugs me most is the no “play” button or “pause” button apart from that it’s good
I also noticed it doesn’t show a thumbnail just a black screen then once the button is pressed it plays the video.
I’ll take a look at the original style and see if I can do anything to it.

No play button at all? But the video plays fine when you click it? Please try enabling “Use CDN” in Settings -> Media -> Local Video Options.

I’m having a different issue now. The video player shows and works perfectly – but, it doesn’t show an image just a black screen with a play button in the middle. I want to show an image from the video itself how do I do that?
