    Hi guys,
i have seen a few support answers on stopping other default themes from being responsive on mobile devices, how do i do this with twenty fourteen?

Either that, or is there a way i can determine how it displays a site on a mobile device?

I dont want the home page to be displayed on mobile devices as it is an article…and would like to specify what nagivation items and menus display and in what order.

  • Do not edit the Twenty Fourteen theme. It is the current default WordPress theme and having access to an original, unedited, copy of the theme is vital in many situations. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

    Alternatively, use another non-responsive theme.

Is it possible to use one theme for desktops and another for mobile?

Not as such, no but there are plugins that offer dynamic mobile versions of desktop sites.

Oh that one could simply have a button in dashboard that allowed customisation of the mobile version site settings. Or to even turn it off altogether.
