How to stop theme from make multiple images

My theme/Wordpress makes multiple sizes of each picture I upload which has caused GoDaddy to be overloaded by my large space thus causing me not to be able to upload pictures consistently. Is there any way I can change it so it doesn’t do this, I will be switching hosting services and I’d hate to exceed my storage limit
