How to stop Smart Crawl from repeating company name in all page titles

    I’m using Smart Crawl and it is adding “| The Company Name” to the ends of all the page titles. I don’t know why it is doing that. How and where exactly do I shut that off — hopefully, without messing up anything else?

    Hey there, @alshultz, thank you for reaching out.

    You can edit this on SmartCrawl -> Titles & Meta

    By default, SmartCrawl get this information from WordPress Admin Dashboard -> Settings – General

    And you can edit this on a per-page basis by scrolling down until you find SmartCrawl settings on each page.

    Thanks Jorge, but I HAVE set titles in SmartCrawl on each page individually — and something is still adding the company name to the end of the titles. How can I shut that off (without messing up something else)?

    Could you provide us with an export of you SmartCrawl settings so we can see what could be causing this?
    You can get the export file from SmartCrawl > Settings > Import / Export panel, upload it to any file sharing service like GDrive od DropBox and share the download link here.

    HI @alshultz,

    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We are facing issues with email notifications and hence causing a delay with our follow-ups. Our team is already working to get this sorted.

    I checked the export file shared but there isn’t any setting or instances configured that would be adding the company name when checked.

    Just to be sure could we know whether you get the same issue if you temporarily deactivate SmartCrawl plugin? This helps to rule out if there are any other settings that are causing such an action.

    Also, if it’s possible please do share the URL to the page, it might help to check the source code for any further clue regarding the issue faced.
