    Hi,

I’ve made a form with some logic that makes certain options visible based on user selection. When a user submits a form and an email is generated it still contains the information for all select boxes even when the “Hide fields in email that have no data” checkbox is ticked. All other fields are not shown so I’m a little confused as to why the Select options are visible.

Am I doing something wrong or is a there a way around this by any chance?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    Glen

  • Hi there Glen, try making the first select field item as blank. What is happening is the field is rendering as an inputted field, and by allowing the first option blank will render it as empty.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Shane,

I was hoping to be able to avoid doing that but I can see the logic. ??

I have another issue I’m hoping you can help with.

I have a scenario where, again, I have hidden fields that are made visible depending on user selection. This works great but I have a problem with people choosing an option and making further selections but then changing their mind and going back and progressing through other options instead. When this happens we are presented with a form that has more than one option filled in so we don’t know what the user actually picked.

Is there anyway way to somehow clear fields that have been hidden when something else has been made visible?

    Thanks again

    Glen

Thanks for getting back to me Glen. Are you currently using the Classic Pro version? Although this version is shelved and no longer supported, the conditional logic should hide controlled fields if the acting field is not engaged or disengaged. Could you share the link to the where the form is currently?

    Thanks!

    Hi Shane,

you can find the form at https://minervahearing.co.uk/reprint/ . Feel free to have a play and submit some forms. I’m very aware that I am using the basics here but we only need a form for our customers to be able to order reprints of existing moulds they have had scanned.

The main problem is if they select a mould type and then change their mind we see both selections as being filled in when we receive the completed form.

I have no idea what version is being used if I am being honest, I can’t find anywhere that shows a version number etc on the dashboard.

    Thanks again

It looks like you are using the Pro version, Pro 3.0 actually. Go ahead and open up a ticket at the URL below and we would be more than happy to take a closer look.
