    Hello,
I have searched the forum, and unless I missed it, I don’t see an answer to my question which is this:
I noticed each product I add to the WooCommerce shop it gets auto-shared (auto-publicized) to the attached FB feed. I have that featured turned on in Jetpack and since WooCommerce treats new products as “posts” it is sharing those. Is there a way to stop that from happening besides turning off the auto-share, auto-publicize in Jetpack? Thanks a million. This one stumped me for sure.

    Hi @designerheather

I found a post that may help. There is code included at the end of the post that will disable the auto-post

    Hope this helps!

Thanks Amanda. ?? I knew about css code for that problem, but it doesn’t work with every theme. I’m a web designer and want something my clients can easily change later and that works for every theme. So I was hoping Woocommerce would provide a simple way to turn off that auto sharing…. since not every product needs to be auto publicized.

    Hi @designerheather,

That post isn’t CSS, it a code snippet that you can add to your child theme’s function.php or you can add using a plugin like Code Snippet. It should work regardless of the theme used.

Yes I’m aware it’s code. I just inadvertently typed CSS. ?? And it actually doesn’t work with every theme. You can read that in the comments and on other sites who have similar code. Also, Most clients who hire web designers don’t want to mess with that code later. I’m using a fabulous theme that never requires a child themes and can handle php changes without a child theme. And adding php code or anything like it would just be too much trouble for those who don’t understand all this and/or don’t want a child theme. And they don’t always keep designers for maintenance. It would be SO much easier of Woo would just provide an easy solution. Or at least make products as pages instead of posts. But then pages would bulk up so that might not work either. Something that would make Jetpack play nice would help though. ?? But thanks for your thoughts. Appreciate it.

Also, I’m a proponent of using as few plugins as possible to avoid sluggish site loading and problems that come from plugins. ??

I would recommend posting your idea as an enhancement or feature request on GitHub so our developers can take a look and will be able to directly respond to you. You can do this here:

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
