I *believe* this is WooCommerce, but it could be a theme file. At this point I’m not 100% sure.

There appears to be some kind of script/code that allows a user to hover over the image and “pan” around if the image is too large to display in the window. I’d like to disable this functionality, and preferably just replace it with a “click to zoom” mechanic (instead of the in-place hover > bottom right corner “click the plus sign”). I’ve had no success yet in troubleshooting this, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

I was checking the link provided. Sorry for asking, are you referring to the map? If not, can you please provide more details about the issue?

And may I ask if you temporarily switch the site’s theme to Storefront does the issue is still present?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Not the map, the product images displaying at the top of the page.

Tested with the theme disabled, still pans. It isn’t set by the theme or the theme configurations.

    Hello,

Thanks for the clarification I think you are referring to this, please check the image:

I’d suggest to reach out to your theme support first, and then, if you have any questions after that, please do let us know.

Already have, they said it was not a theme function. I disabled the theme and used WP 2023 default, and the panning still occurs. This comes from a root behavior of a plugin.

Hm. Upon investigation, the “hover panning” seems to now be off?

I’m not entirely sure what I could have done to make this behavior go away, but I suppose for the moment this works.

Initially it seemed to be caused by an image that is too large to be cleanly “reduced” in size to fit the gallery slider thumbnail display.

    Hi,

    I’m glad to hear that.

If the issue is present again, be sure to (please) provide us a copy of your site’s System Status: It is under WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?So that we can investigate further, thanks.
