    Hi there!

I recently created a new website using wordpress, and ever since then I’ve been getting alot of physical mail regarding my site sent to my house. They’re usually addressed like: ” To The Business Owner Of: [Website Name] ”

I’m wondering if I can change my privacy settings, security settings or something to make this stop. Does anyone know?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jon

That’s usually done via the domain registration contact info and is also why some select privacy options.

That’s not something that can be modified via a WordPress setting. Please contact your domain registrar about hiding your mail and contact info.

Any advice on how to go about doing that? I’m not familiar with the process…

It really depends on your registrar. For example the one that I use calls that extra feature “WhoisGuard” meaning that the domain WHOIS information is replaced with their information.

Contact your domain registrar via their web page. Many of them have a live chat and may be able to help you out online.

I registered my domain through WordPress, so I suppose I’ll just contact them. Thanks for your help.

This should be a good place to start.
