• Hello Users,

I want to upload few images but wordpress start creating their thumbnails and start occupying more server space. Please help me to stop these thumbnails.

    Thanks.

P.S : In Admin – Settings – Miscellaneous – There is no option to stop it

    Edit – I am using 2.7 beta 3

    No one ?

I am using 2.6.5 and have been looking for a way to disable any generation of extra versions in WordPress because I need just one and I get more. Even worse: when you delete the original in the Media section, the scaled alternatives remain on your server…

    So: who can help?
WHAT file do I modify so WordPress JUST uploads the jpg files and does no extra postprocessing creating whatever versions it creates?

Yeah thats right … same thing i want !

I also look forward for some handy information in this topic, it seems that there is no info about it anywhere.

    Thanks for your help!!

    Hello there.

I found a way to get rid of them in 2.7. It is the simplest thing ever… Just go to Options->Objects and then set to 0 every single text input and unselect the tick box.

Somehow it makes sense, doesn’t it?

    Javier.

Where do you find Options -> Objects in WordPress Admin?

    Hi Ajay.

You can find them at Settings -> Media in wp 2.7.1

    See you.

    Javier.
