How to stop categories from showing up in searches

  • My categories on my page show up as the first content in all of my posts so Google is dinging my page for duplicate content. How do I make it stop? Also, how do I get my pages to list for their individual content and not just link back to my front page. All of my pages are coming up incorrectly in google!

  • tried this in the header.php?

    <?php if(is_archive()){ ?><meta name=”robots” content=”follow,noindex”><?php } ?>

    it should add the no index, follow to all the archives, category pages, and tag pages.
