How to stop an element from redirecting to the top

I am using the springfield paralax theme visual composer but I have ran into a gliche where I click an element and it redirects me to the top of the page and I have to scroll the whole way back down to the bottom to view the dropdown element. If anyone can be of any assistane I would appreciate it.
