How to start accordions closed in Virtue

Here’s something it took me a while to figure out, so I’m posting here for any others that are having the same confusion.

When you make an accordion in Virtue, this is the shortcode that comes up:

[accordion]
[pane title="title1" start=open]
Put content here
[/pane]
[pane title="title2"]
Put content here
[/pane]
[pane title="title3"]
Copy and paste to create more
[/pane]
[/accordion]

That little bit of code that said “start=open” was the issue. I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to start the accordion closed. I tried start=closed, start=close, start=collapse…nothing.

Turns out, the answer is simply to remove start=open altogether. Then, it’ll start out closed. Hope this post helps someone in the future!
