How to sort RSS feed by custom field

  • I’ve tried searching a solution to this for some time and I haven’t found anything that worked.

    I am embedding my RSS feed on my business website as a simple tool to add upcoming events. So far this is working out well, but…

    I am trying to sort this feed by a custom field (date), so the posts are in the order of event date, not post date. I have found several solutions on how to sort by custom field in the wordpress blog, but not the RSS feed.

    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    I am looking to do something very similar. I want to make certain posts sticky and always appearing at the top of the RSS feed.

    Did you ever find a way to sort the RSS feed?
