How to sort by distance automatically?

Hi Andrea,
When a member is searched by a Google Autocomplete field, is there a way to display automatically the results sorted by that field instead of selecting the field in the sort manually?
I know I can do it with a shortcode like this [bps_directory order_by=”field_2″] but I was hoping to do it automatically on the default member directory with a specific search from the user
