How to show variation image before all attributes are selected

Is there a way to display a variation image before having to make all attribute selections? Currently, I have to select logo, color, and size before the image will show.
Preferably, I would like a variation image to be shown when the color is selected.

I have searched far and wide for a solution to this, but everyone has been saying that this is the default behavior of WooCommerce.
