how to show recent posts of a particular category in wordpress

hello,

i have installed wordpress at https://karomasti.com/tollywood/

i have uploaded a home.php file to replace the index file so as to show content of my req choice…it is loading and good…

wht i want to ask is that i want to call wordpress at some places displaying latest posts of a particular category…

i tried to display with some code but it was not showing it all

for this is there any thing like to be in the first line…or please tell me the exact procedure
