How to show only post title for searching result ?

    Not search only post title,but to show only post title for searching result .
    Here is my searching result of wordpress in my wordpress.

    I want to make only post tile show at the right,no abstract of post content at the right.

    How to fix the /wp-content/themes/twentyfourteen/search.php?

  • the actual output of the search results is in the template called by this line:

    get_template_part( 'content', get_post_format() );

    this generally would call the file content.php of your theme (unless you are using post_formats).

    look into content.php of your theme; or post its code here.

    you might want to consider to create a child theme for the edits;

    in content.php (in the child theme; you will need to create a copy of this file in the child theme first), find this section:
