On my wordpress blog it doesn’t show this message. When a user comments it just shows nothing but on the backend the comment has been stored for moderation.

How can I show the message “Your comment is waiting for moderation”?

    Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thank you Leo for your reply.

I tried to mark ” save my name and email for…” checkbox in order, So the notification is appeared.

So, to show this message , the user have to mark ” save my name and email for…” checkbox.

now, My question : can we show this massage without mark this ” save my name and email for…” checkbox.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

WordPress added that checkbox to WP 4.9.6 so it could be GDPR compliant. If you remove it, your website wouldn’t be compliant.

I’m not sure if it’s possible to remove it and have WordPress store the cookies by default. You might have some luck asking in the “Fixing WordPress” forum here on WP.org ??

    Thanks Tom for your reply.

Thats right , this problem appeared at WP 4.96
I think the Problem is in two points:

1.If the user did’t mark this checkbox , the massage “Your comment is waiting for moderation” will not shown.

2.If the user mark this checkbox , his data will stored at cookies and he can’t logout even if he press on logout. Because I have a website and I have social login .If the user login by (social login) and after that press on logout, he still login .so , if the user want to logout, the only way to logout is clear the cookies file ! and this is a problem .

    Thank you.

    1. That’s because WordPress needs to set a cookie in order to know that current user left a comment. Without the cookie, WordPress has no idea.

    2. That sounds like a problem with your current login/logout mechanism. The comments cookie shouldn’t prevent you from logging in or out (they’re separate cookies/functionality).
