How to show currency code AND symbol?

    Hi. I’ve been using Woocommerce for about a year. I recently activated an extension that may have swapped the currency symbol ($) for the currency code (AUD). I realise having the currency code is important since it’s used by more than one country (Aus, Can, NZ, Singapore, USA), so I’m happy to keep it… BUT I would like to have the currency symbol back.

    I found and used this code: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/add-a-custom-currency-symbol/

    But I cannot seem to get “AUD $9.99” to show up. What am I doing wrong?
