how to show comments on blog page

I have managed to turn comments on and have edited my posts to allow comments and un checked all the boxes in the disable comments section and allowed comments on the said page.

The comment box is now showing on the post once you click on the title to open the post in it’s own page but there is nothing on the actual blog page next to the post or any kind of link or button to inform visitors they can leave a comment if they wish.

Is there something I am missing somewhere.

The blog or post page is my portfolio and I am currently adding all my previous work and will be update it and adding new posts regularly.
