    Hi everyone
I have a menu item called “Brands” and when you hover your mouse over, you will see all the brands that I sell of clothing.

My question is: “Can you make it so, for example, if you click on “Levis”, you will see the product categories that contain products of the brand Levis.

For example, if you need some Levis pants, then you select the brand Levis in the menu, and then click “Pants” in the sidebar to see all pants by the Levis brand.

@oscarsj I’m thinking you could use product tags for this. You would have to add the corresponding tag to all the products of that brand, and then have the tag archive page linked to that menu element.

Using your example, if you were to add “Levis” as a tag on all products from that brand, once you click on that menu element customers would see a display of all the products tagged “Levis”. Note that they will not see product categories for them to click, though. It would be a display of all products with that tag.

You can read more about tags at the following doc: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/#section-3

Hi Fernando, thanks for your support.
I’m not sure, I understand what you mean. I’ve already created some product tags, but the ‘cloud-widget’ doesn’t change when I select a product category for example ‘Levis’.

@oscarsj You might also want to look into the possibility of using an extension like WooCommerce Brands. That plugin will allow you to list a brand on each product.

If none fo those options would work for you, you may consider a custom-tailored solution for your site that extends the default features of the plugin. If you need any coding help, you can reach out to one of WooCommerce’s customization partners:

    https://woocommerce.com/customizations

They’d be able to give you a clearer idea about the scope of the project and quote you for their services.

I already use that plugin, and do not have a widget available that allows customers to select product categories based on the selected brand.

So the only way to solved it, is to code it from scratch? :-/

I personally don’t know of any plugins that would work for this. I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

I can also recommend the following places for more development-oriented questions:

We haven’t heard from other users in this thread, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
