• I have a happy 2.5.1 blog, and all is well.

I also have a formal website that is tied to the blog by domain name, etc.

I want to show blog posts (say, the 5 most recent) as content inside an existing “News” page. Say, the most recent at the top, and just a link to the article and a little of the beginning of the article.

I need this to run unattended, so when I write blog entries, they are easily discovered by those looking at the “News” page on the formal website.

I figure I have to use the RSS feed from wordpress, but maybe not? I can’t create a completely new page programmatically-the solution needs to insert content into an existing page.

Has anyone gotten this to work at all?

    Thanks!

    Certainly!

Have a look at the “Integrating” section on the Creating_a_Static_Front_Page page in the docs. There are several specific options mentioned there.

There are also a kabillion (technical term) little “rss to html” thingies out there that aren’t WP specific as well.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks!

I’ve been trying those kabillion, and having no success. Some require the blog and website be on the same filesystem (which mine aren’t), etc.

    BuzzBoost looks promising…

    Thanks!!!

Yes, the BuzzBoost option tends to be my favorite for simple/easy. ??
