Hello, great work on this theme! It is perfect for my site.

One thing I am stuck on, I can’t seem to find a way to show the author for any blog posts (on the full post viewing pages, nothing special). I read a previous question where the person wanted to show the author’s name on the home page, to which you replied:

Thanks for the clarification…unfortunately, this theme wasn’t coded to show that on the blog home page (where post summaries are displayed. However, it does show when the full post (article) is viewed.

Yet I don’t see them on the full posts or any option to enable it.

Please let me know if there is a way. Thank you!

  • Good morning!
Not sure how I missed this, but after checking it again, I noticed I did not put the author line in the full post view template file. It looks like I need to add this to the next theme’s update. It does exist though in the premium version, just not the Lite version.

However, so you do not have to wait, if you contact me from my Styled Themes website, I can send you the update for that.

Thanks for your quick response! I will follow up with you there.

I’ve just sent you the updated files (content.php and style.css) to replace your current ones in the theme. IF this works out for you, this will be part of the next theme update as version 1.2.1

Please note that if you made any changes to your style.css file of the theme itself, do not replace it with the one I sent, otherwise you will lose any of your custom changes.

The author will now show up just below the full article in the full post view, just like the premium version of the theme.

Ok, I have tested your fix and everything worked as you stated, so I went ahead and implemented it in my live site. Thanks so much for your quick solution! Please do include it in the next update!

Awesome to hear and this will be in the next version update. Also thanks for bringing this and reminding me about the author was actually missing.

Hello, I have the same problem. Could you help me?

Hi lauranfurter, the theme author was able to send me an updated file with this fixed. It doesn’t look like an updated theme has been posted since then, so you might want to start a new thread with this request. Since this thread shows “resolved” at the top, I doubt the author will see it. Maybe paste a link to this thread to clarify what you’re looking for.

    Good luck!

Thank you for your answer. I started a new thread with tha request and now I am waiting… meanwhile, is it possible for you to send me the file that the author gave you? It would be very helpful!

@timbuk2000, You can share code publicly via PasteBin: https://pastebin.com – I hope you continue the conversation on the forums and do not solicit private support.

Andrew, thanks, that will make this much easier.

    Lauranfurter,

When I contacted the author, he sent me a couple of updated files and a message about how to implement them, as follows:

I’ve attached the files to this email as a zip file that you can unzip it to your desktop. Then, using your FTP program, you can upload the file to replace the existing matching files in your theme. However, you can also open up each file, copy the complete contents, then go to your admin >> Appearance >> Edit >> and then open the matching file, then replace the code with the new code by pasting it in (remove the old code first). Do the same for the style.css file as well because I changed one small item in it.

IMPORTANT: If you made any changes to the style.css file, then don’t replace it with the one I Sent you, otherwise if you did not make changes, then you can replace it.

If anything goes wrong, you can download the theme again from www.remarpro.com and unzip it and then put the two files back to how they were.

If things look good with this update, I will make it part of the official theme update.

Here are links to the updated files on Pastebin:
    content.php:

    styles.css:
    https://pastebin.com/FPivA3jX

Be sure to read and understand the author’s note above!

    I hope that helps.

Thank you very much!!!!! I’m going to try to fix it! Let me know how I can take a look of your blog ??
