How to setup thumbnails in post plus other questions.

  • How can I setup thumbnails in posts?

    I also would like my blog authors to be able to
    upload a thumbnail when they submit their
    post, how can this be done.

    I was also testing my author account, and noticed no
    avatar settings, how can my blog members upload
    their own avatar/icon?

    Ok I found the Thumbnail option in WP.

    Upload/Insert: Add an Imaage

    at the bottom it shows thumbnail but it will not let me
    click on the thumbnail option, it forces me to use the
    full size 150×150.

    The last option in right siderbar, is featured image. Click that, upload the image, near insert into the post, you can see “use as featured image” click that.

    That just does not look right. I just want the thumbnail on the outside of the post, not on the inside also…

    it depends on your theme….

    some themes will show featured image inside the post too, and my theme doesn’t show

    Do you use WP thumbnail to produce your image? or
    do you use some mod?

    also, do you create your images, or download them?
    I am looking for an image resource where I can
    get images on any topic..just have not found
    any place yet.

    I am not using any mods for this.

    I use Google Images to get images, it’s a great place to get images. In case in don’t find images relevant to the article, I will create images using photoshop!
