• Hey Guys,

hope you can help me. I’m dying finding out how to setup what i want. I have only basic knowledge from html and such..

I want a news feed on my website from a specific topic. I already archieved what i wanted with “Newsomatic” Plugin and newsapi.org but i need a solution in german.

So i want to build a website for my guild for a specific game. And i want a news feed on that site for all the news about the game. In german. So i did use newsapi.org but they don’t have many german sources. Google News or Bing News on the other hand would work.

Google News has a RSS Feed but that won’t work cause you can’t customize the time limitations. If the news are a little older, the feed won’t show any news at all.

I created a Bing News API but i can’t figure out how to implement this API in to my wordpress Site. I found a WP Plugin called “WP Robot” but that’s too expensive for me (89$/year). I would pay for the plugin but not every year that much..

Can someone show me a way to achieve my goal? Anyhow?

    Thanks
    bundy

If you cannot find a suitable, affordable plugin, your only other choice is to custom code something. If you do not have the necessary code development skills, you could hire someone who does. The initial cost will be more than a year’s subscription, but it’s generally a one time cost if the code is well written and if no future updates are required. A few possible resources are https://jobs.wordpress.net/ or https://jetpack.pro/ or at a local WP meetup.

If you already have a non-German feed, perhaps consider using a machine translation API to translate what you already have. Then everyone is seeing the same content instead of only German specific content. Of course auto-translations leave much to be desired with proper style and grammar, but the result is generally understandable.

Thank you. I found a workaround that works for me.
The Plugin WPeMatico publishes Posts automatically from an RSS Feed.
