• Maybe my archives simply are not working, or I need to set them up.

They simply go back to my index.php

I’ve setup permalinks, but no matter which way I do it, there is a “/” missing after the main url (https://www.robknight.org) and the files do not link.

Do I have to setup an index.php file for each archive folder?

  • What is your permalink structure ?

Your server is set up not to allow viewing of a directory if there is no index file. You have one (index.php) in each of the archive links, but your server doesn’t recognize that. Talk to your server admin to get them to change that.

I have the main index set up to show only the last seven posts, but this is carrying over to my archives too. When you go to archives by month, it only displays the last 7 posts of the month. How do I fix that?

    I’ve got it…kick a$$!

I am now using the following permalink structure:

    /http:/www.mysite.org/index.php/%year%/
    %monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

Just kept trying and now it works!
Sorry, i’m a bit of a newbie and knew very little about WordPress before Friday night.
