    Hi,

I have an e-commerce store where I have several different product categories and I want to set up shipping by the weight because some of the products I have are pretty heavy. However, some of my categories the products are light in weight. If I set up shipping by the weight, how do I set it up where a if a customer order multiple products from different categories the shipping can get cheaper with each item they add.

For example, if they purchase a heavy vase > https://charismahomedecor.com/product-category/pink-vases/ but then also purchase a light switch plate cover > https://charismahomedecor.com/product-category/switch-plate-covers/ how do I set up the shipping where it combines both of these items weight together and not charge the customer separate shipping for each item?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there!

I understand your concern. To achieve this, you’ll need to use a plugin or WooCommerce add-on.

There are several available options for weight-based product pricing. I found one that may meet your needs: Weight Based Shipping for WooCommerce. Please give this plugin a try and see if it helps you reach your goal.

If that doesn’t work, custom code could also be a solution.

Please note that we do not provide support for custom code. You may want to hire a developer or seek assistance from the Facebook community.

    Hi Shahzeen,

Thank you so much for your response. I truly appreciate it. I actually did install the Weight Based plugin you mentioned and it’s helped me quite a bit. I was able to categorize my products into 3 different weight sections: light, medium and heavy. However, I’m still having trouble on setting it where if a person buys multiple products from different weight sections (ex: a light product and a large product) how to combine the shipping rather than it defaults to only charging shipping for one of the products. I thought I could set that up with the weight based plugin but I’m having a hard time. Are you able to help me with that? Here’s the link to my site: https://charismahomedecor.com

If you don’t mind you can play around with putting products in the cart and see what I’m referring to. When it’s a single product being purchased everything is perfect. The issue lies with if they order more than one product I want the shipping to gradually increase without it doubling completely or not increasing at all.
