I’m using the “PayPal Checkout” and trying to get my Live Client ID and Live Secret ID.
As suggested, I have visited this Paypal page. I think I need the first option offered?

    1. Pre-built payment solution
    2. Braintree SDK integration
    3. NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic)

And then, do I need to make use of the section:

    • Accept or block payments from your online stores before setting up APIs.

      Hello @iantresman,

yo need to select “REST API integration” and get live APP details.

      Thanks!

REST API does not appear to be an option on the page. I see:

How is PayPal set up on your website?

      1. PayPal API

        Through a shopping cart provider

        Pre-built payment solution

If you’re using or plan to use a third-party platform, like Magento or Shopify, for shopping carts and online stores where the PayPal payment processor is built in.

Grant API permission, or?Manage API permission

      2. Custom checkout experience

        Braintree SDK integration

The Braintree SDK is powered by Braintree, a PayPal service. These easy-to-integrate SDKs allow you to accept payments via PayPal on your website and native mobile apps.

        Manage SDK Credentials?

      ——————————–

        NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic)

You or your developer integrated NVP/SOAP (or “Classic”) APIs that allow you to accept payments via PayPal.

        Manage API credentials?

      3. Accept or block payments from your online stores before setting up APIs.

To begin using APIs, you first need to accept or block payments from your stores.

You can set up API permissions or credentials later.

      Manage PayPal checkout settings

      Hello @iantresman

You can get directly from https://developer.paypal.com/dashboard/applications/sandbox this url.

      Thanks!

Now solved. As you suggested I went to this page: https://developer.paypal.com/dashboard/applications/sandbox

After logging in and selecting “My Apps & Credentials”, there are two buttons at the top of the page to select between “Sandbox” and “Live”. Each section shows the Rest/API.

You may want to update your plug-in page here in the FAQ section.
