How to set up archive page like this?

I have the same archive on my blog. I can check it later to see what I use.

The plugin is srg_clean_archives at https://www.sporadicnonsense.com/2005/04/28/clean-archives-plug-in/.

I installed the plugin.

But when I put in the code <?php srg_clean_archives(); ?> in the html of my archive page and update, the code gets changed to <!–p srg_clean_archives();–>

Why does that happen? How do I stop it from happening? I want the function to be called and not to be converted into a comment.

You need to edit the page template that calls the archive function. Or make a new page template.

There are more than one such Plugins. Look for execPHP, PHPexe, runPHP and similar names…

Just my experience: I use runPHP and installed the plugin jwurster suggested and was up within a minute! i didn’t need to create a new page template either, i just went to “write page” with the rich-text editor off, put in the php and checked a box that says “runPHP?” at the bottom of my screen and was done. it worked PERFECTLY.
