How to Set the Thumbnail Picture

  • How do I set the thumbnail picture? The pictures are always random and sometimes there are picture that are not even in the post. I have a bunch that do not have any pictures.

    Also is there a way to have the text on the picture be permanent, rather than only showing up when you scroll over the picture?
