How to set the link for the new post?

  • How to set the link for the new post..

    i have this top menu and i want to link it to the new post i made.

    <li>< a. h.r.e.f.="https://sample/?page_id=42#">SAMPLE</li>
    i just want that SAMPLE menu will automatically view the new post, i made.
    and so on..

    for example i made a new post again and i click the sample it will appear the new post and so on..

    disregard the (.) i just dont want the link to be seen.
    and sorry for my English and grammar.

  • Can you paste a link to your site? I’m not sure exactly what you are asking. Are you looking to always have the newest post displayed on the home page, on another page, or something else?

    sorry but i dont have a site or a link but its something like that i want my newest post to be displayed on a specific page.. like for an example i have this menu called recipe and i post a new article using the template of recipe i make then what i want is that when i click the menu “recipe” ill be directly go to the new post i make, because what i did is that i need to copy the url of my new post to the link of the menu”recipe”, in which i think theres other way to make it in an easy way by not always changing the link of the menu’s.
    but the problem is that i dont know how, Hope yiu can help me with this..

    If you have “recipe” in your menu as a “category” then every time you add a new recipe to that category it will be the newest post.

    You can go to your dashboard and under “Posts” select “New Category.” Under there add “Recipe” as a category. Go back to “Posts” and click on “Add New Post” and select “Recipe” as the category and it will be the most recent post when you click on “Recipe” in the menu.

    im using the fixed page with the templates.. and i dont see any categories on that area.. what should i do? sorry to be noob im just new in wordpress.

    Which theme are you using?

    the twentyten of wordpress-j_3.1.4. is there anyway to add categories to the fixed post?
